Branded as one of the most affluent and upmarket communities in the capital district, Damansara Heights recently welcomed its first integrated development encompassing commercial, retail, hospitality and residential properties that are built with a sustainable future in mind.

The multi-award winning Damansara City project by GuocoLand Malaysia Bhd on 8.5 acres along Jalan Johar showcases  two luxury high-rise residences named DC Residency, two Grade A office towers, an F&B-centric lifestyle mall and the five-star Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara hotel.

The RM2.5 billion endeavour has already been identified as an important Entry Point Project under Malaysia’s Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) and it promises to further enhance the lifestyle appeal and property values of the surrounding locale.

Befitting the the project’s stature, GuocoLand recently unveiled DC Residency’s four exquisite interior design concepts for its DC Residency units, giving buyers a glimpse into the exemplary opulence offered there.

Fashioned by renowned d11esign firms Luna Solutions, Metrics Global and Nu Infinity, these home-grown interior specialists have each recreated interpretations of modern contemporary design in four different unit sizes that  appeal to a range of buyer profiles. Additionally, they are now extending their expertise to interested DC Residency buyers who aspire to create their personal interpretations of contemporary living space.

GuocoLand’s general manager for sales and marketing Kenny Wong revealed to Property360 that the developer had spent between RM300,000 and RM700,000 for the various interior designs of these units.

He said buyers now have an opportunity to emulate the concepts showcased or explore new options.

A total of 370 contemporary urban units will be housed within the two 28-storey residential towers, delivered in built-up areas that range between 899sq ft to 2,975sq ft.

Each unit comes complete with premium fittings, including PoggenPohl kitchen cabinets, Catalano sanitary wares, Gessi Emporio Armani range fittings and home appliance from reputable brands such as Miele, Bosch and De Dietrich.

Matching the designer interiors are top-class lifestyle facilities and conveniences such as an Olympic-length salt water infinity pool, aqua gymnasium, cabana, landscape garden, function rooms and private rooms for residents to host events and entertain guests.

DC Residency goes beyond expectancies with state-of-the-art security features, enhanced with a three-tiered security card system that will be implemented at the guard house, main lobby and private lifts.

Strategically located in Damansara 4Heights and directly connected to the SPRINT Highway, getting to and from the development will be hassle-free. It is a short drive away from Bangsar, the KL city centre, the KL Sentral transportation hub and other established urban centres.

It will also soon benefit from the proposed MRT station that will be positioned at Damansara City’s entry point. This will, no doubt, enhance its appeal as a value investment and allow businesses that choose to locate themselves there whereby there is an easier access to a young, educated, talented and productive workforce.

Already, the limited availability of premium office space in the vicinity and the absence of other completed developments in the neighbourhood has lured Hong Leong Bank to take up the project’s 33-storey office tower A – which will be their new headquarters.

Meanwhile, the 19-storey Tower B will be occupied by international service providers and a pre-school.

The DC Mall, a four-storey landm9ark lifestyle mall, will house restaurants, eateries and cafes. About 70 per cent of the nett lettable area within the mall has already been spoken for, said GuocoLand.

Spread across four floors and a rooftop terrace with ample car parking, there will also be a retail podium with a covered outdoor dining area, vertical gardens on feature walls and a landscaped two-tier roof garden.

Key tenants that have already committed their presence in the mall include the likes of Kampachi, Soleil, Charlie Chaplin, Cake Sense, I Love Yoo, Juiceworks as well as several new-to-market brands by established operators. It will also house the Kuala Lumpur Fertility & Gynecology Centre, a leading name among fertility centres in the country.

Work on the construction of Damansara City is close to completion and the entire project will open its doors to the public sometime this year.
