

Encorp lands township project in Bukit Katil

Malacca – Encorp Bhd subsidiary, Encorp Bukit Katil Sdn Bhd (EBK), has clinched the development rights to a 640.98-acre site at Bukit Katil in the district of Melaka Tengah. The two parties entered into a master development agreement last week, which gave EBK developments rights to the leasehold plot for RM583.6 million.
According to Encorp, the land will be used to develop a mixed township comprising of residential housing and commercial buildings. Work on the project, tentatively called the Bukit Katil Development, is expected to commence sometime this year and be fully completed by 2026.
The land was previously purchased by Felda from CG & P Consultants Sdn Bhd on 19 April 2013 for RM304.3 million. It is located approximately 13 kilometres to the north-east of Malacca City Centre.
The site is accessible from Melaka City Centre via Jalan Temenggong, Jalan Semabok Dalam, Jalan Duyong, Jalan Bukit Katil and Jalan Tun Hamzah. Linked to Jalan Gapam, it is also accessible via Jalan Tun Tan Cheng, Jalan Kubu, Jalan Hang Tuah, Jalan Ong Kim Wee, Jalan Mutahir, Jalan Taming Sari, Jalan Mufti Haji Khalil, Lebuh Ayer Keroh, Jalan Seri Negeri.
