More than RM100 million in uncollected assessment taxes and rental is owed to KL City Hall (DBKL) from 2015, says KL mayor Datuk Seri Mohd Amin Nordin Abdul Aziz.
Much of the unpaid sum, he said, was from public housing schemes and rentals from fresh food markets. He announced that DBKL will soon embark on a citywide campaign to get its citizens to pay up.
“DBKL will open booths at 32 locations in government housing schemes and townships on Saturdays and Sundays from Aug 6 to 20 to make it easy for them to pay their assessment fees, rental and traffic compounds,” Amin Nordin said, adding that DBKL may eventually embark on a door-to-door campaign to collect fees.
