Buoyed by positive response to its maiden township project, Aman Putri in Sungai Buloh, PPC Glomac Sdn Bhd is now eyeing to embark on a similar endeavour in the rapidly developing Rawang vicinity.
According to the company, the yet-to-be-named project which is expected to occupy some 40 to 50 acres could be initiated by as early as this year, pending approvals from the authorities.
Planned with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM300 million, the development will be a joint-venture between PPC Glomac and Pembinaan Punca Cergas Sdn Bhd.
Business development manager Jason Choong said the proposed project will comprise landed housing and shops within an enclave that will put particular emphasis on the preservation of green areas.
He said that the company hopes to launch the project by as early as year-end, but a lot still depends on the timing of the approval process.
Choong added that in the interim, PPC Glomac will continue to launch properties within the ongoing Aman Putri development. With a GDV of RM21.6 million, the terraced houses were launched there in August and have already achieved 70 per cent sales.
It was also revealed that the company is on the lookout for potential opportunities to expand its landbank during the current property market slowdown, as it expects land prices to drop in the current economic climate.
