Fifteen deserving purchasers were selected to be the among the first recipients of Rumah Mampu Milik Johor (RMMJ) scheme homes at Setia Business Park 2 at Taman Perniagaan Setia in Iskandar Malaysia last week, marking the company’s response for the state government’s call for more affordable homes.
Developer SP Setia Bhd said it is determined to support Johor’s outlook of catering to the rising demand for affordable housing that appeals to people from all walks of life.

Wan Mohd Zahid was present at the balloting ceremony, which also saw the handing over of keys to owners of RMMJ projects by S P Setia – namely Sri Senja and Sri Embun. He as accompanied by SP Setia CEO and president Datuk CJ Khor as well as divisional general manager for property south Stanley Saw.
Also present at the event was Johor Chief Minister Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin and various representatives from Johor’s State Executive Council for Housing and Local Government, senior dignitaries, contractors, partners and associates.
Under the RMMJ initiative, S P Setia has developed a total of 490 units of 18ft by 60ft two-storey clustered terrace homes. Seri Senja hosts 236 units, while Sri Embun has 254 units.
Launched in May 2017, the units are modestly priced, ranging between RM150,000 to RM206,000.
The Johor chief minister applauded S P Setia efforts as well as expressed gratitude for taking up the mantle of building for the people.
“This joint initiative by S P Setia together with the state government is an excellent example to other developers to step up and do the same,” he said, citing good synergy and cooperation as the key factors in making the joint venture a success.
