EXTENSION OF ECOHILL LINK 2 DELIVERS BETTER CONVENIENCE AND EASY ACCESS TO PARKS FOR RESIDENTS OF SEMENYIH, SAYS DEVELOPER

The extension of EcoHill 2 Link at Setia EcoHill 2 in Semenyih, will offer better convenience and accessibility for the residents of Beranang and its surrounding neighbourhood, says SP Setia Bhd.

The 5.2km extension of the EcoHill Link, which currently connects Jalan Semenyih and ultimately the LEKAS highway, is expected to provide immediate relief to more than 50,000 people in Beranang and Semenyih vicinity – who travel to Kuala Lumpur and other urban centres in the Klang Valley on a regular basis.

Upon opening the entire stretch, the new link is expected to reduce the travel time between Beranang and the LEKAS-Semenyih Interchange from 30 minutes to just 10 minutes, the company said in a press statement.

S P Setia executive vice-president Datuk Tan Hon Lim, said the company was pleased to fulfill its promise to homebuyers and the local community by bringing accessibility and convenience to the area.

“S P Setia invested approximately RM80 million on the construction of the new link road and improvement of the existing infrastructure. We worked towards ensuring that the road construction would be ready before the owners of phase one move into their new homes,” he said.

“This investment is in line with Setia’s LiveLearnWorkPlay development philosophy as we believe in not just building houses, but also developing complete townships that support the lifestyles of our residents,” Tan added.

The opening of the link will also mean the public will now have easy access to two new parks in Setia EcoHill 2, South Creek and Adventure Park.

The 17-acre South Creek community park is located at the heart of the township. Its natural flora has been meticulously preserved, with over 80 native trees carefully transplanted from the original estate.

Adventure Park is located in the Highlands and is already accessible to the public, with 18 acres of natural landscape preserved for adventurous activities designed for every age. Adult visitors can enjoy mountain biking and canopy walks, while the younger ones will be drawn to the forest playgrounds and junior wall-climbing activities.

“We are happy to announce that we will officially be opening the South Creek community park to the public this Sunday,” said Tan.

He said there will be many activities lined up for families this coming weekend, including giant kite displays, petting zoo with miniature horses, game booths, bubble station, magical clowns, entertainers, grass zorb ball challenge and food trucks galore.

The Setia Ecohill 2 township also boasts a clubhouse in the vicinity, Club 360°, which is located on the highest point of Setia EcoHill. Among its many facilities is an indoor sports centre with an international futsal arena and four badminton courts. It also hosts an Olympic-length swimming pool facility, flanked by wet and dry parks meant for children, as well a well equipped gym.

Tan said Setia EcoHill 2 is currently seeing the completion of 354 houses, to be handed over to buyers by the end of August 2018.

SP Setia is also now working on Barras, the first of the starter homes series in Setia EcoHill 2. This collection of 20’ x 70’ double-storey terrace homes are priced from RM 513,000 onwards and is due for completion in 2020.
