The fourth edition of Tan Sri Ar Chan Sau Lai Architectural Award held by Malaysia Institute of Architects (PAM) is now open for registration.
The award is offering a total of RM50,000 grant to the Award Winners and introduce these students to the profession and industries.
Students who eligible to participate are Malaysian students who have just completed architecture course in the immediate preceding year, in Malaysia or abroad. The student must be a PAM member of any category or have applied as PAM member of any category (membership is free for Pam student).
Past award winners are not eligible to participate again, however, previous finalist, including recipients of commendation prizes are eligible to submit.
Group project is eligible but only one prize will be awarded to each winning project. Schools of architecture may submit on student behalf.
Due to the amount of response received, PAM has extended the submission date to 30 March. The first judging will be on 15 April, qualified participants will be required to submit their project with further details starting on 22 April to 13 May. The second judging will be on 20 May. The awards will be given out on 8 Sept.
The key criteria to evaluate students’ work will based on their innovative, their think process, how the idea is conceive.
